Shena Kumar

She is currently involved in providing counselling services to cancer patients as part of the Medical and Surgical Oncology Treatment at the BLK Cancer Centre and as a Consultant Psychologist to a British Organisation, Behave London! Her clinical interests centre around disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Her current research explores the development of intrusive memories of trauma. Her previous work involved social stories intervention in children with Autistic spectrum disorder. She is an active member of the British Psychological Society.

Founder member of THF, Aparna is a double major in Statistics & Economics from the University of Toronto. She tutored orphaned girls in Science and English at Gramin Swabhiman, an NGO working with women and children in rural India. At Hooria, she assists in deciding our future initiatives as well as organising events.

 

Apra Dhawan

Founder member of THF, Apra is a qualified Robotics engineer and has an MSc in Finance. She is a consultant for the BIG 4 in Delhi. After completing her education, she worked and spent over 6 years in the United Kingdom before settling in India. She has travelled around the world and is a well-read woman. She is an active volunteer at several underprivileged schools, because she believes that every child can achieve, if we can lay a ground that encourages and builds potential through education.

 

Aastha Anand

Aastha has an honours in Psychology and a Masters degree in Organisational Behaviour. She is working in the HR department in a financial, research and analytics firm. She has attended workshops on girls and taught special children during her own time in education. She believes that one child one teacher one pen and one book can change the world.

Manisha Singh

Manisha is a Botany graduate from the University of Delhi (Ramjas College). She always had a desire to research and make a contribution to the society, this later led her to pursue a Bachelor of Education. At present, she is consistently tutoring orphan children in her neighborhood (Chandigarh).

Sonal R. Singh

Sonal has a MBA from IIM Lucknow after graduating in Commerce from the University of Delhi. At present, she is working as an Auditor with KPMG. She has actively participated in CSR activities at her work place. At Hooria, she supports and promotes the ideology of THF and actively contributes by coordinating and managing activities for little ”hooria’s”.

Supriya Kalania

Mother of a beautiful girl child, Supriya is a post-graduate who has been working in the banking industry for the last 7 years. She has a keen interest in initiatives for the development and upbringing of female children. She leads the fundraisers for THF.

Kanika Khosla

Kanika has done her MSc in Counselling Psychology at Christ University, Bengaluru. Prior to this, she interned with ‘Manas’ NGO and conducted sex education workshops for rescued girls at ‘Nirmal Chaya’. She has also counselled rescued boys at ‘Boys Home’. Alongside this, she has interned at a girls school for the ‘down trodden’ in Bengaluru and helped them cope with stressful life experiences. Kanika is currently working as a Senior Counsellor in a highly reputed school in New Delhi.
